Il pittore al lavoroBruno Marcelloni was born in Assisi in 1942; in 1959 he graduates at Istituto Magistrale and, at the same time, learns from drawing master E. Dragutescu; in 1961 he graduates at Istituto d'Arte of Perugia. In 1962 he attends Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, where he is disciple of L. Montanarini.
In 1963 - 64 - 65 he wins I, II and IV prize for "Mad. Olivo" contest in Assisi. From 1964, for 4 years, he is disciple for painting and drawing of american artist W. Congdon (he learns essentiality of drawing and synthesis of pictoric shape).
In 1966 he is awarded the gold medal of Rome city at the IV Mostra Nazionale d'Arte Mariana in Assisi.
In 1968 holds a personal drawings exhibition in Paris, at R. Duncan's Gallery.
In 1969 he visits USA, and particularly the Modern Art Museum in New York; he enters in contact with the works of american astrattists: B. Newman, E. Kelly, K. Noland, Rotko, Dibenkorn, F. Stella, and meets MoMA's graphic designer H. Rosenthal and sculptor F. Carlson.
In 1971 he meets A. Pace, which will present his exhibition at AL 2 Gallery in Rome; he then exhibits together with E. Montuori, Stazione Termini's architect.
In 1973, after a long trip in USA, exhibits in Caserta his "strutture spaziali" (spatial structures) with critics from A. Bovi, L. Marziano, A. Pace, V. Saviantoni and I. Tomassoni.
At the end of the 70s he graduates in Psychology, and specializes at the Clinical Psychology Italian Center in Rome.
In 1978 he meets L. Patella, that will introduce him in the book "L'Agio Conta". (comments of S. Orienti, A. Gilardi, B. Munari, G. Dorfles).
In 1988 he is invited by North Cipro Republic's President to hold a personal exhibition in the island capital.
In 1990 B. Corà presents Marcelloni's works at Rocca Paolina in Perugia, in a catalog collecting 25 years of activity.
In 2005 he exhibits in a common exhibition in Perugia with the artists: P. Dorazio, M. Staccioli, N. Caruso, etc.
In the same year organizes an anthological exhibition in Assisi, presented by italian most acclaimed art critic Vittorio Sgarbi.
